Mechanism of action
Chorionic gonadotropin
It stimulates steroidogenesis in the gonads, a biological effect similar to that of LH (Luteinizing Hormone) that promotes the production of estrogen and progesterone after ovulation.
Therapeutic indications
Chorionic gonadotropin
In women with anovulation or oligoovulation to trigger ovulation and induction of luteinization after stimulation of follicular development.
For an Assisted Reproductive Techniques (ART) program such as in vitro fertilization: triggering of final follicular maturation and luteinization after stimulation of follicular development.
